Day 11: A day trip from Tuscany to Florence!
The group rounded up in the morning for a day drip and walking tour of Florence. We arrived and were quickly welcomed by the sight of the Florence Cathedral. There is an option to take the stairs all the way up to catch a view of the entire city, we decided to stay low and check out the ground-view! We had heard that the Leonardo DaVinci museum was something I would really want to check out, we ended up opting out of the Uffizi museum to check those out. As it turns out, we probably should have stayed with the group and went to the museum. The DaVinci museums were kinda cool, but I don't think it was something we would recommend skipping out on the Uffizi for! Later on we caught up with the group to see the David! It was hard to imagine being in "awe" from a sculpture, but when we saw him, he was AMAZING!
Ciao Matt!
Florence was going to be the last stop that we had with our great bus driver, Matt! We had a great time with him throughout our trip, as did many of the other members of the group! Matt would be dropping us off at Rome the next day, from there we would be on our own! On our way back to Tuscany, Matt stopped the bus at a great vantage point to look over Florence! We took the opportunity to take our group photo here, it turned out great! We had a little more time to spend as a group and it really showed just how close we were at this point. Taking pictures for and with each other and it really hit home we were going to miss every one of them!
